Dearest Friends of the Pack,
it’s David this time. First of all, we hope you don’t mind this message, as you also know that we feel uncomfortable when we’re about to release something new.
The root of this tension comes from the inevitable matching, as our formula for self-expression (writing songs, shooting videos, preparing animations, designing flyers, or writing this letter) unintentionally becomes a product. Yes, we’re fighting against it, constantly, and try to maintain a way to let it be as much personalized as possible, but no, we can’t avoid to talk about our new EP without highlighting the ways how you can interact with the songs, and besides that, support us on the long term (although your support is already meaning the world to us, since you are reading this sentences by your own free will).
Arcadia will be our first-ever vinyl release.
Honestly speaking, we’ve prepared for this quite a long time ago: we also have the dedicated vinyl masters for our latest album, 3AM Confessions by Alan Douches (Converge, Modern Life Is War), but we never had the needed funds to actually proceed with the preps.
When we were in the studio in May 2024, we made ourselves a promise, that these tracks were written for this format. Even if the songs are not aligning with a similarly strict concept as it was on our full-length albums, yet the cohesion between the tracks are shouting to be played right after each other, the way we designed the release itself.
Especially that we knew during the writing that Arcadia will be our statement release that defines our band. It reflects on our past, it shows how we evolved during the years, although it stepped away a bit from the experimentations we had on 3AM Confessions. But as we also mentioned previously, it’s our most democratically-written release ever, proving that a healthy balance is maintainable between the five of us. That’s why we’re so proud of it, admitting that it might be alienating for some of you who got to know us by our last album.
Arcadia, similarly to the EP itself, is based on a fundraiser, so if you can support this project in the forthcoming 10 days, you can secure your copy under this link. I promise we won’t send out another mail on this matter.
If you can’t afford the vinyl copy (which is completely fine, for real), but you’d like to pre-save the EP, it also helps us a lot, and you can serve yourself here.
The EP will be available on the 17th of January, 2025, and the two, previously unpublished songs will surprise you. ‘Cold Days’, the opener is one of our strongest “classical” songs to date (I would say it’s a ‘Some Got Saved’ material on steroids), and the closure, ‘Reverse Midas Touch’ continues our line of criticism when it comes to autocratic systems and how political actors pretend to be ‘one of us’, yet, whatever they touch, will immediately become moldy.
We also hope that we’ll meet during our European tour next March. You can check the identical dates over Bandsintown, but you can also serve yourself by the flyer below:
We’ll also have a hometown show with VLKN on the 8th of March in Kripta, where our friends, Havária and Gear are also joining the line-up. It’s just a friendly reminder that Gear is about to release the Eastern-European hardcore release of the year, so be sure to check ‘Defined Horizons’ once its out.
Thank you for taking your time reading these lines, I mean it. And can’t wait to know what do you feel about our new songs.
Stay safe:
Your Pack
